This day was established by UNESCO in honor of children's literature and marks the birthday of writer Hans Christian Andersen. He is the author of many unforgettable fairy tales: The Ugly Duckling, The Little Match Girl, The Emperor's New Clothes, and many others, in which he has transformed his humanity and kindness toward all children in the world.
